ABOUT LUMINOUS CST

Luminous CST is owned and operated by Lea Aaberg, ATC, CES, PES. Originally from Crosby, North Dakota, Lea’s journey in caring for others began at the age of 16 when she became a certified medication aide and nursing assistant. She pursued her passion for helping people at the University of North Dakota, where she discovered the opportunity to combine her love for sports with her dedication to patient care, earning a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training in 2017. During her time at UND, she met her husband, Conor, a Stillwater native, and they moved to the Twin Cities shortly after graduation.

Lea has been a practicing licensed athletic trainer since that time. In addition to her athletic training certification, she is a Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Her professional experience spans various settings with the majority of her time spent at a secondary school. She has also spent time in a physical therapy clinic, orthopedic urgent care, and biomechanics lab. She currently works full-time as an athletic trainer for a major airline, providing care to aircraft mechanics.

Lea discovered craniosacral therapy (CST) during a trip to Sedona, where a single session of this gentle therapy significantly improved the mobility in her stiff neck. Intrigued by the effectiveness of CST, she eventually pursued formal training with the Upledger Institute. After witnessing remarkable results with her patients, Lea founded Luminous CST to bring this transformative therapy to a broader audience.

The name "Luminous CST" was inspired by a particularly rewarding patient interaction. After a session that brought relief during a challenging time, the patient emphatically expressed feeling "so much brighter." Lea carries this sentiment into her practice and strives to bring that same sense of renewed brightness to each of her clients.

In order to bring her skills to a wider variety of clients, Lea does not practice under her athletic training license in the state of Wisconsin. Any advice you receive at Luminous CST is not to be construed as medical advice.
